Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 24 September 2026
We want everyone to be able to enjoy PlayTrendingGames. This statement explains our goal, what we have done so far and where we still have work to do.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA across the website: the home page, game pages, guides, menus and legal pages. This is our target. We have not been independently audited or certified.
What we have done on the website
- Pages use semantic HTML with one main heading and a logical heading order, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Every page has a “Skip to content” link, and everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and interface colours are chosen for readable contrast in both the light and dark themes.
- You can switch between light and dark themes, or let the site follow your device setting.
- Animations on the website are kept short and are switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages work on small screens without sideways scrolling and can be zoomed.
- Game pages explain how to play in text, including a table of keyboard and touch controls.
The games
Games are harder to make fully accessible than web pages. Here is what our games aim to do:
- every game has a pause menu, and settings for sound, music and reduced motion;
- reduced motion turns off effects such as screen shake;
- games work with touch or mouse, and with a keyboard where it makes sense;
- there are no time limits in our puzzle game, Noodle Slurp.
Known limitations
- Our 3D games (Tumble Tube, Blaster Timeline and Maple Mill) depend on seeing and reacting to moving scenes, and are not currently usable with a screen reader alone.
- Some games rely partly on colour. We are working on colour-blind-friendly palettes.
- Some games show flashing or fast-moving effects. Please read the health notice in our Disclaimer.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on the site or in a game is hard for you to use, please tell us. Email [email protected] with “Accessibility” in the subject line, describe the page or game and what went wrong, and we will do our best to fix it or give you the information another way. We aim to reply within 5 business days.
